It Is What It Is in The Works

Ya boy has been working hard to get back in shape, and it’s been awhile since I updated this blog. I been off the music grid rebuilding GameRunnaZ Records, and bringing it to the next level as a music publishing company. We’ve been blessed to have NEW music on Season 2 of a show we will announce as things get finalized.

I’m also working on my new album It Is What It Is. The tracks are ready and I’m writing and perfecting it for recording. You know how I do. I put a lot of work into my music, and it’s been awhile since I released a full album (See Affirmations), so it will be nice to do what I love again and make something to turn ya’ll heads. Stay posted on that.

On a personal note, I just to say there has been a lot of trials and tribulations in the last year, but it’s taught me something. Stay on track and don’t get discouraged and you’ll be where you want to be. I write that, because a lot of people frontin’ out here nowadays, and it’s like no wants to admit they are human in this game anymore. A lot of people on that humble brag, but the truth is, with every success came a hundred failures. Failures are nothing but a positive lesson. I just feel blessed to stay healthy, stay working, and doing what I love. I hope ya’ll feel what we puttin out. And if you don’t…have a good day. Stay up!  #gamerunnaz #jtpender

Working On The Breaking ChainZ Mixtape

J.T. Pender during the most recent “Breaking ChainZ Mixtape” studio session.

It feels good to be back at it! And, in SoCal at that. Working with my homey Fides Rex in the studio right now, putting together a little welcome to San Diego, CA project called The Breaking ChainZ Mixtape. It will drop on Christmas day, and will be available as a free download directly  here on the JTPender.Com blog!

It’s still currently a work in progress, but we’ve switched the tempo up a little bit for this one from my last album, Affirmations. Anything goes in the studio on this one, so we just sittin back kickin whatever comes to mind. I love recording “mixtape” projects like this, because they are always  the rawest. Sometimes you just gotta crack open a fifth with the homies and let the creative vibes flow.

I will be posting clips of the Breaking ChainZ mixtape by Instagram Moments and Facebook Live feeds, so be sure to hit them up frequently. Stay up!
